Sumilao Update: Metro Manila Leg - Day 11

Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales expressed his 100 percent to the church's procession on Friday. JPICC-AMRSP and Simbahang Lingkod Bayan has committed to mobilize their religious networks. The Sumilao farmers will be cordoned seminarians all throughout the march. Everyone who wants to join must wear white and must be in front of DAR by 7:30AM. For security precautions, groups or individuals will not be allowed to join the walk midway. The route to Malacañang will be via Quezon Ave.-España-Recto.

A mass and candle-lighting ceremony will be held at 5:00PM today. A concert featuring artists like Noel Bayang, Gary G. and Pantalag will follow. Some RockEd artists may also perform. Rico Blanco, former member of the band Rivermaya will visit the farmer's camp either 2:00PM or 8:00PM.

The call for a boycott is still on. A little dip in the sales of Monterey/Purefoods products may get SMFI's attention.

"Bloggers Call for Boycotting of Monterey/Purefoods Products in support of Sumilao farmers. This Christmas season, December 15, 2007 to January 2, 2008. Bring down the sales of San Miguel Food, Inc. to show public support to the farmers of Bukidnon who were denied of their 144 hectares of land. Please pass to all bloggers."
